I had booked my own little Waldheim cabin several months ago. May 21, election and check in day, came around soon enough. I set off early and stopped at Mountain Mumma in Sheffield for some brekky and a brew. The forecast for the weekend was sunny with a high of 9 and a low of -2.

Binya was the name of my four birth cabin, plonked beside a healthy looking Celery Top and several Pandanis that were taller than me. I had four days worth of food, ample tea and I was ready to walk, photograph and be silent, with no-one to look after but myself.
