Located north of the Walls of Jerusalem National Park, Lake Parangana on the Mersey River is a man-made lake that is quite lovely on still mornings, especially if there’s mist hanging around. On this particular Friday morning I went for a drive and ended up in the Mersey Forest, exposing the last four photos on my roll of Tri-X.
The light had a beautiful quality. It was gold and low, and cut across the surrounding hills, accentuating the shape of the eucalypts growing there. Some days you just get lucky!
In contrast to the quiet lake, some campers in the next clearing had a fire going by their ute and some fairly loud music pumping. That made me smile.
